COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cider House Collection #2: Inspired by the tradition of Ice Ciders in Quebec, Canada, Iceman uses the process of freezing the juice from culinary and bittersweet apples to produce a rich, complex and unique cider with a crisp apple taste and notes of caramel and toffee. This cider is sweet but not cloying. The addition of oak-aging yields a smooth and pleasing vanilla character. The result is a perfectly balanced, full-flavored cider that delights the palate with clean apple notes and a lingering toffee finish.

750 ml. corked and caged bottle. Pour a minimal, poorly retained ivory head, with no lacing, over a clear light amber (SRM 7) body........nose is mild lactic acid, light apple, slight vanilla.......taste is moderately sweet, with equalizing tart acid, primarily lactic in type, apple, with Granny Smith notes, finishing drier, with lingering tart acid.....mouth feel, medium sticky body, alcohol warmth present, mild hints of astringency, carbonation high. This is a rich, alcoholic cider. It has nice complexity for a cider making for a quite enjoyable beverage. BJCP 9/3/15/4/8

Corked bottle from Safeway, Port Angeles, WA
Golden color, clean, with some bubbles, head disappears quickly. Nice aroma of apples, mature, not as rich as real Ice Ciders, but very nice. Moderately sweet, the carbonation and light acidity add a dynamic touch, the apple flavor is present.
Standardized robust cider, not a real Ice Cider, but still quite nice.

White wine like aroma with green apple jolly rancher notes. Pours a clear amber color with small wispy bubbles for a head Very sweet candy like flavor, green jolly rancher again, balanced with tartness. Medium bodied, sticky, sugary Apple finish. Very sweet but enjoyable. Good dessert drink. I'm worried it might give me a headache with all the sugar in it though. Good balance of tart an sweet, with it being more heavy on the sweet side ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This corked and caged bottled Cider from a grocery store poured a medium sized head of frothy clear colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a softly carbonated transparent light orange brown colored body and a poor lacing. The nice aroma was of fresh red apples. The dry yet crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start with a mellow finish and a lingering dry red apple aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of red apple and was dry. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

Huh, I was under impressed with this. The pour was your average golden cider, smell of spices and apples. Small amount of wood and sweetness in the smell. Taste follows, apples, slightly drying, balanced sweetness. But the problem was that even at a slightly warm temperature, it grew to be quite cloying and off balanced. This was only sitting out for like 5 minutes, not even that long out of the fridge

Bottle - Lots of sweet apple and peel. Clear gold. Sweet apple and a long finish. Overly simple and sweet. More like a sweet cider.

Bottle from Brusin’ Ales - pours still orange. Has a nice balance between the sweet cider and the burn of alcohol. Sweet, but not too sweet, it really highlights the Appleness with some oaky vanilla notes mellowing thing out. Nice!

Bottle from Bruisin' Ales. Pours Apple brown with little to no head or lacing. Slight Apple notes on the nose. Big, concentrated apple notes on the tongue. It's on the sweet side but with enough acidity to balance out the sugar. Hides it's booze well. Nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rated on 7-07-2015. (Draft) The appearance is a off-white head that mostly diminishes, transparent golden body, fizzy, fast rising, and lively carbonation. The aroma is sweet, apples, spicy, and caramel. The flavor is sweet, apples, caramel, tart, and it has a semi-dry finish. The mouthfeel is syrupy and it is medium-full bodied. This is quaffable and worth trying.
