Cider House Collection #2: Inspired by the tradition of Ice Ciders in Quebec, Canada, Iceman uses the process of freezing the juice from culinary and bittersweet apples to produce a rich, complex and unique cider with a crisp apple taste and notes of caramel and toffee. This cider is sweet but not cloying. The addition of oak-aging yields a smooth and pleasing vanilla character. The result is a perfectly balanced, full-flavored cider that delights the palate with clean apple notes and a lingering toffee finish.

Bottle poured into a shaker. Ppurs a clear dark gold with lots of little bubbles. Aroma is mostly sweet and tart apples with a hint of toffee and a little vanilla. Taste goes back and forth between heavily sweet and heavily tart. Apples and apples with candi sugar, light vanilla, light oak and a little toffee. Thick and sticky texture with a finish that gets more boozy as it warms. Overall, really good. Ive never had an ice’d cider before but im really digging this style.

Very delightful and full flavored cider, very sweet and a good alcohol percentage. Intrigued to try the others

This cider is fantastic! Visually it’s one of the most impressive. It pours very golden but retains a lot of its flavor unlike many of the golden looking ciders. Despite it being one of the sweetest ciders I’ve had, it retains a lot of flavor surprisingly :3

Deep golden pour. Aroma is oak barrels and sweet apples. Surprising barrel influence in the aroma and body. Apples, oak, vanilla, booze. A little hot and boozy.

Pours a golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet apple, and flavor is the same. It tastes good, but the alcohol content makes this one a sipper for sure. It tends to sit a bit heavy on the stomach. I enjoyed it, though I probably wouldn’t get it again.

Bomber at home split with myself over god willing at least two evenings. Pours orange golden with small cidery head. Nose of candied apples. Tastes of granny smith apples, rich caramelized sugars, vanilla, plenty of booze. Not sickly sweet or particularly nuanced in flavors but not unpleasant.

Bottle shared with northropfrye. Boozy apple juice aroma. Light copper colour, crystal clear. Light apple juice with a tremendous kick. Pretty good.

Light copper body, load of tiny little bubbles floating to the surface, some head even when initially poured, but looks like a pale lager. Aroma of candied apples, cinnamon, cloves. I was glad it wasn’t overly sweet as I feared it might be. Sweet with kind of an acidic bitterness mixed in as well. Nice ice cider.

750 ml bottle. (Whole Foods) Washington, DC.
Clear golden colour with no head. Apples, toffee sweetness and vanilla in a sweet aroma. The flavour is apples, mild tartness, sweet toffee and vanilla. It’s quite obvious it’s strong (in abv) but surprisingly the flavour doesn’t reveal it. A bit too sweet to be really enjoyable.

So when I think hard cider I think of apples. And when I think of Apple wine I think of this stuff this dude used to make in college. It was free. And it was strong but it was AWFUL. This is the epitome of apples. Powerful... Intense... This is a great thing... I might actually buy this for myself one day...
