When this beer first hit my lips I was pleased by the champagne flavor. This beer is crisp and clean!

Deliciously tart, not too sweet, and subtly appley. A little bit of wood and smoke on the nose, not too strong, and a juxtaposition of creamy first taste and bright minerality in the finish.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 brenn79 (1199) - Idaho, USA - DEC 7, 2012
750 ml. bottle, thanks Poisoneddwarf- Pours orange golden with a ring of foam, aroma is apples, mellow, not really tart or overripe. Taste is much mellower than the Iceman, less intense apples, not getting much oak either. Body is a little thinner, I liked Iceman better in almost every way.

750 ml corked and caged bottle. Pours hazy orange with a collapsing white soapy head; leaves a ring of big-bubbly foam. The nose on this one is more aromatic than the Iceman I just rated, but it’s still pretty faint. I get apples and the same fresh chopped wood/leather character Iceman had. Taste is tart and savory, a little watery. Has a flavor of apple core. Alcohol presence is much stronger in this one. Astringent. More carbonation on this one, but it’s still not very high. I like the Iceman better, overall, but this isn’t bad.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 BMan1113VR (7382) - Los Angeles, California, USA - NOV 24, 2012
Bottle. High end presentation with a seemingly artificially inflated alcohol percentage (10% naturally from non concentrated or aided apple must?). Pours very effervescent. Violent carbonation in the glass. Large bubbly white head that floats above a sea of bubbles for several minutes. Bubbles don’t have enough staying power to leave any lace, but still are quite retentive for a cider. Clear, quite bronze tinted golden hue. Pretty deep. Some alcohol legs above the liquid show that there is something of high octane or viscosity in the glass. Aromas are of dry apple, sulfur and a light citrusy zest like acidity, some estery pear like notes, relatively well hidden alcohol. Grassy, light raw oak. Some straw or fresh hay. Flavors are quite boozy, green apple, slightly artificial in its tartness (aided acidity or tannin?), nice and decently complex apple character. Still a bunch of sulfur lingering. Oak tannin and flavor are less noticeable than the alcohol, apple and sulfur. Something feels slightly boosted (dare I say hooch like about it) fleetingly in the aftertaste.
Very lively carbonation. Alcohol makes it still seem rich, but it clearly finishes dry. Warming. Interesting. Many positives, but certain elements detract. Acid is strong but nicely balances any ethanol sweetness. Overall a very good cider, but expensive at $17 per bottle.
3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 bhensonb (9007) - Woodland, California, USA - OCT 13, 2012
750 c&c from the Arden BevMo. So 10% without an ice approach? Pours orange gold with a fizzy beige head. Aroma of slightly tart apples with perhaps a hint of oak. Med body at least. It’s fairly tart, lots of crisp apple, and I think some oak astringency. The flavor combined with the unobjectionable heat causes my body to twitch. It really gets astringent and woody. Dry as the proverbial bone. Wine-like characteristics it is.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Drake (6507) - Ivy, Virginia, USA - SEP 22, 2012
C&C 750 mL bottle from Amity Wine, New Haven. Pours a clear copper color with a thin head. Decent head retention. Aroma of dry perfumy, almost woody apples. Sweet apples and a slightly tannic note. The taste is tart, dry apples, white wine, stone fruits and an extremely faint hint of a vegetal note. Medium bodied.

Overripe apple nose. Clear amber, visible carbonation. Tart, somewhat acetic. Dry finish. Light nondescript phenols.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Butters (3325) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - SEP 22, 2012
Sampled at Dan’s after Top of the Hops tasting. Clear light golden pour with ample offwhite head. Faintly sweet and perfumey like roses and hibiscus petals. The apples are more of a crab/granny smith/bitter apples. A little vinous and a little like pino grigio. Drying on the back of the palate.
3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 GT2 (5664) - Riverslime, California, USA - SEP 4, 2012
Bottle thanks to Dan. Pours a clear orange with small foam but showing decent legs. Nose is excellent- thick apple pie, caramel, vanilla. Taste is prickly and bland with cardboard. Some sharper alcohol heat. A bit too much paper.
