COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Cider House Collection #1: For centuries Farmhouse Cider making has been a tradition celebrated by farmers in the English and French countryside. Strawman combines a distinct blend of juices from traditional culinary and bittersweet apples, which is then aged in oak. The result is a full-flavored, complex and balanced cider with wine-like characteristics, rounded out by apple and citrus notes. Its lingering, earthy finish is a homage to the origins of this unique cider.

Bottle poured into a snifter. Dark gold with minimal head. Aroma of applez and oak. Taste is the same oaky with crisp tart apples. Dry on the finish. Overall, great.

Bottle. Poured hazy pale color with an average head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Medium floral apple aroma. Medium body with a smooth sparkling texture and soft carbonation. Medium tart apple flavor with a medium tart finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable refreshing beverage. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This cider made me sad, with such a price tag and somewhat anticipation, it just reminded me of an apple flavored chardonnay. The aroma was bright and promising though; lots of vanilla-ish oak, leaves, apples and slight toffee. I just wished for something more - perhaps a controlled fermentation would have yielded more sweetness and/or body.

Thanks to Harold for this one. Nose is dry, crisp apples. Apple juice. Not much else. Pour is lightly hazy straw colored. Flavor is very dry, old apple juice. It’s ok.

750ml bottle, corked. Orange label, scarecrow. Dark amber pour. Aroma of ripened apples, some wood. Smells like a well made, barrel-aged cider. Tastes dry. Flavor of bruised apples, crisp notes. Finishes clean and dry. With the same ABV as Iceman, I enjoyed this one much more! (3997)

Pours copper orange with a large white head that quickly dissipated. Aroma is apple, earthy and woody. Taste is sweet with tart bite. Highly carbonated to start but it quickly softened. Crisp finish and the alcohol is exceptionally well hidden.

750 ml. Hazy golden body is active and supports a lasting disc of cream on top. Aromas of spicy-tart apple, white wine and light oak. Tastes of earthy oxidized lightly tart apple, white grape must, lemon, a hint of berry and a finish of toasted oak. Light body is highly carbonated and astringently dry.

bottle. deep golden with small head. tart and dry apple flavor. slight woodiness. i really liked the iceman variety, but this is a bit disappointing in comparison. flavor seems a little muted, and what’s there reminds me too much of wine.

Rich bronze amber body, ok head. Soft apple juice nose with some baked apple contributing a bit of depth and with some tartness trailing at the rear. Sparkling body. Feint apple. Quite champagne-like. Softly tart and dry finish with some feint woodiness.
