Tap at Denver Summer Brew Fest 2012. Clear gold with a champagne nose with some dry apple skin tones. Flavor of the same, dry but not unbearably so, with a light tart sweetness from the apple flavors, and a little too much champagne yeast.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a white wine glass. Pours clear golden and little carbonation. Taste is tart apple with a dry finish that has a hint of bitterness. Pass.

least fave of the three but it is a pretty standard english cider....sulfur, white wine, wood, dust, mild fruity tartness and drying on the finish

I’m not a big fan of dry drinks so the fact that I liked it, should tell you that it wasn’t that dry. Nice sweet apple taste with a bite or spice at the end. My wife enjoyed it so it shouldn’t really be on this site :) Not a bad drink over-all but, I think it’s a bit more towards a summer drink.

It’s just not my thing. If I’m drinking fruity or sweet, I would prefer Mead. Worth a try though.

light straw with minimal head. not so much dry as just unsweet. bland and lacking any complexity.

It seems sammy is a little late arriving at the cider scene, no? From a bottle. Smooth apple aroma. A little waxy on the tongue. Tangy at first. Sour apple and dry. Not too much co2. Not as sweet as woodchuck but still has some unfermented sugars in ther. Good, fruity sweeter bubbly wine feel. Goes down fairly easy, yez, a little winelike fer sure. Overall much above average for a brew but about average for a cider.

Bronzed, rather flat-looking. Musty smelling, accompanied by a tad of urine and apple. Nice balance of tart and sweet, mellow, musty, and with an aged quality. All in all, ok.

Bottle. Pours a decent cheddar orange with a nose of light apple and pear. Flavor is dry apple, sparkling white wine, and pear, Average mouthfeel. Not bad. A little more full-bodied than sparkling wine.

12oz twist-off bottle, green label. Clear gold color. No head. Not much aroma in this one. Just the slightest hint of a vinous characteristic. Fresh slice of a Granny Smith. Flat flavor, no sweetness at all. In fact you can barely tell it is a cider. Some tartness in the finish, very thin bodied. Overall, I like this AO best of the three I’ve sampled. Because it lacks all of the sugary sweetness the Crisp & Ginger offer, I don’t think this Traditional Dry will sell well at all. If I were to purchase any of these AO Ciders, it would be this one.
