1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Had these in my pre-ratebeer days, and had forgotten all about them until I read an article on the zythophile blog today about marketing beer to women. I didn’t even know that was the point of these beers. They were all sweet, and the clear one was the best of a pretty poor bunch.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
In bottle from Meadows Wines. Pours a yellow colour with a fair white head. Aroma of slightly tart lemon, lemonade, mandarin and caramel. Similar flavours with moderate carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. A little sweet and feintly tart to finish. Lingering lemon and mandarin again.

1.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
275ml bottle from Morrisons. Pale straw with a loose white head, looking slightly more beer-like than the Clear version; lager-top aroma of musty German hops and citrus; incredibly thin and watery and tasting like shandy made with cheap artificial lemonade.
