Shared 750 ml corked bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgaard. ABV is 8%. Deep reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Unusual aroma of almonds / almond essence, spices and vinous notes, hints of cherries. The flavour has also hints of preserved cherries, almonds and mild spices.

19/I/13 -75cl bottle as "Zalig Kerstfeest en Gelukkig Nieuwjaar van Dranken Willems" from Willems (Grobbendonk) @ RBBWG 2013 - BB: n/a (2013-65) Thanks to ??? for sharing the bottle!

Clear amber beer, irregular off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: pretty sugary, caramel, floral, pretty soapy, some spices. MF: lots of carbon, light body. Taste: bit floral, hops, citrus, bit metallic, spices, yeast, hops. Aftertaste: soapy, little bitter, yeast, floral notes.

Den bedste jule øl, som jeg har smagt 2012. En kæmpe overraskelse, med den helt rigtige julesang, uden at øllen bliver for sød. Flot julet flaske, som hygger på et veldækket julebord.

Sampled from bottle @ RBBWG 2013. [Note: not a 100% sure it was this one. Bottle said something like "Zalig Kerstfeest & Gelukkig Nieuwjaar", brewed at Het Anker, 8% ABV.] Hazy dark orange to red-brown color, small white to off-white head. Smell and taste malts, sweetness. Too much carbonation, it gets in the way of the flavors. Too bad, could have been decent enough but now I don’t like it.

75 cl. bottle poured in to a trappist glass. Dark brown colour with a fat, off-white cap. Sweet aroma with an overwhelming amout of marzipan, lots of caramel malts, dark, dried fruits and spicy, Christmas-like notes. Some tobacco. Taste is bordering heavy sweet, with lots of sugar. Medium body, creamy texture and soft carbonation. Finishes sweet with cough syrup, spices, brown cookies, some nuts and toasted notes. Lots of flavour, not much balance or finesse. This beer is probably best when drunk in December.
