Draught at the Kulminator, Antwerp 2005: Beautiful mahagony color, medium carbonation with a nice layer of a head. Bubble gum nose - malt and cookie dough taste with a hoppy and veggie finish.

Sweet bock, tasted some caramel as well. Definitely one of the better bocks. Had it from draught at Bloemers in Amsterdam. Served in a beautiful, hight Anker glass.

Draught Hazy, chestnut brown beer; yellowish-amber fine head. Nutty nose, gingerbread, pineapple. Harsh alcoholic and estery fusels taste. This is NO Bock in the German way. Sweet-ish with a nutty-bitterish edge, not gingerbread-unlike. Faraway sourish-fruity edge. Cold, this seems a bit thin for ’t Anker, and the alcohol seldom helps full MF, but looking (tasting) closer, there’s a lot going on, gets nearly chewy, with a warming background. Nice, though very untraditional Bockbeer. Worth a try - if you can find it.

Draught at Hasselt Belgian Bierweekend. Raisiny malt aroma, light hops. Dark brown red clear with thin tan head. Medium light body with active carbonation, light carbonic burn. Smooth sweet start, mild acidity. Raisiny malt sweetness, with mild fruity hops. Finish is light sweet raisin. After is dry ligh bitter with mincemeat sweetness.

Tap in De Bekeere Suster. Typical Anker vanilla aroma. Redbrown color, beige almost creamy head, very nice lace, beautiful glass as well. Sweet, caramel, vanilla, bit buttery, soft. Unlike most bocks I ever had but still great.

Golden syrupy beer with a plain Belgian ale flavour and a petrol fume like aroma. Overall a plain Belgian beer.

Keg, Amsterdam BBF2003. Ruby red, good beige head and moderate condition. Low maltines in the nose, sweet fruity malt and caramel in the mouth tempered by a slight hoppiness and an initialy sweet aftertaste turning hoppy with a lingering pine note and a suggestion of whisky.

UPDATED: OCT 16, 2005 Re-rate in 2005: On draught at the Kulminator. Dark brown coloured, beige head, thin lacing. Malts and nuts in a nice combination of sweet and bitter. Dry finish. Very nice beer. Original rating: Damn, my rating was removed from the database and i have no notes. I thought it was a pretty nice bock, but i can’t specifically recall its characteristics. I’ll try it again soon.

UPDATED: OCT 12, 2003 Quite nice bock. Clear amberbrown color, medium brown frothy head. Taste is caramel malty, sweet and slightly yeasty i guess. Lasting malty but sticky palate.

(tap) This one is okay. Not superb, malty smell. Amber-brown coloured. Nice head. Taste is malty, sweet and a bit sharp. More hoppy to the end. I seriously doubt that this brew is brewed by an indonesian brewer. However I wasn't able to find anything else on this brew on the net.
