Bottle at Plan B during RBESG 05 pub crawl. Smells great - strawberry, forest fruits etc. Rich and jammy. Superb jam roly poly pudding flavour. Rich, jammy, very thick and fruity. Great stuff!

Knew nothing about this beer whatsoever until I opened it. Had no clue it would be murky purple with a pink head. Not exactly what I had in mind, but hey, whatever. Anyway, aroma is outstanding- smells like sweet raspberry... and real raspberry, not some cheap extract. Flavor is outstandingly fruity raspberry/blackberry, with some bitter blackcurrants underneath. Nicely sweet, but the blackcurrant bitterness pushes that sweetness out of the way for a nice, clean finish. Nice carbonation level, as well. Probably the best fruit beer I’ve had to date.

Bottled. RBESG -05.
Red-brownish. Huge aroma of wild strawberries. Flavour is not overly sweetish. But the candy-like wild strawberries put a spell on me. Marvellous!

Bottled. Thick reddish brown beer with great head retention. The aroma is lightly raspberry and warming, the flavour is again raspberry and refreshing. Overall a satisfying drink.

UPDATED: SEP 21, 2004 Pours a frothy light pink head on a hazy red body. Aroma is extremely fruity dominated by different berries. Fresh, sweet, complex and delicious! Flavor is sweet’n’sour fruity, again with that dominating tone of fresh berries. Notes of citrus/grapefruit also. A very interesting, tasty and smooth beer and what a great surprise to find it in my local wine store!!!

An unclear amber beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma is sweet with lots of raspberries and so is the flavor leading up to a dry end.

Aroma is a gorgeous raspberry/cherry, malt and some yeast, hazy red/orange, pours a medium sized, fairly long lasting white head, and some pretty lace. Wow, tastes like wine gums used to, with cherry, raspberry and strawberry most prominent. Light bodied, lovely mouthfeel, sweetness is just right. Terrific!
