COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Before, Het Anker had a wide range of beers: simple table beers, lagers and various kinds of Ales. The changing beer market and the rise of specialist “lager breweries” obliged Het Anker to concentrate on brewing the special beers. That was the only way to survive the competition against other breweries. Years later, in 1998 Het Anker picks up the lager production and launches a new beer called ‘Blusser’. In 2009 it is renamed Anker Pils (Anker Lager). Cheers!

A pilsener. Does not do much other than... make you feel you’ve had a pilsener. This review could easily be summarised with a shrug.

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2011 Good lager beer. Bitter, malty and fruit good in balance. Before 2009 it was called blusser, now a days it called anker pils.

25cl bottle from the brewery. Clear blond color with a decent head and some lacing. Mostly just sweet malt inn the aroma. Pretty clean overall. Clean malty flavor with mild hops and a moderately sweet finish. Just a touch of noble hop flavor and medium-low bitterness. Actually has a very nice, fuller texture but still falls on the light and drinkable side. Medium carbonation level. Not bad at all but simply driven by a good pils malt flavor. Really tastes more like a helles than a pils, but a pretty good one at that.
