COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Before, Het Anker had a wide range of beers: simple table beers, lagers and various kinds of Ales. The changing beer market and the rise of specialist “lager breweries” obliged Het Anker to concentrate on brewing the special beers. That was the only way to survive the competition against other breweries. Years later, in 1998 Het Anker picks up the lager production and launches a new beer called ‘Blusser’. In 2009 it is renamed Anker Pils (Anker Lager). Cheers!

Draught: Served in a Van Moll : Medium sized white foamy head on top of a clear brighter yellow colored beer. Aromas of hay, grains, corn, some malts, some lacto, cream and dried branches. Flavours of hay, grains, cream, bitters, corn, light sweet, herbs, some malts and a light mealy sprinkle. Aftertaste is a mix of bitters, cream, grains, soke bitters and herbs. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, low to medium body and a creamy texture. Easy and pretty crisp, nice beer for its style.

Pours clear pale golden with a large, creamy, white head. Aroma has corn, malts, some wet socks, light brewing ceral. High carbonation, light and somewhat watery mouthfeel. Flavour is soft grainy and sweet. Mild grassy bitterness. Okay dry, but ultimately a bit too sweet.
