pintbypint (879), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Mar 23, 2008 500ml brown bottle, screw top. Golden colour. Head is white, never really raises to more than a thin surface layer, leaves little lacing. Aroma is grainy, very soft grassy note. Flavour is pilsner malts, grain and grassy hops. Finishes with grains and grass. Medium body, average carbonation levels. Enjoyable, drinkable Dort.
presario (2397), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Jun 8, 2008 500m bottle. Crisp gold with steady carbonation and light loose head of small bubbles. Light aroma of cookie and bread with some grassy hops. Stacks up well to a number of European canned Lagers available in Alberta, although at almost twice the price. Malt is lightly sweet. Flavour is cookie with a moderate hop undertone in a long soft finish. DuffMan (1939), Calgary, Alberta, Canada May 9, 2008 Brassy golden yellow, nice thick creamy white head leaving early lace. Pale malt and grassy hop aroma. Clean sweet malt palate with a medium-itter finish. Contrary to the only two other raters here, I found this to have considerable bittering hop character, and a finish with enough bitterness to bring to mind a classic german pils. I really thought this was great. jbrus (4117), Delft, Netherlands Feb 20, 2006 Bottled. Grainy aroma. Golden color, white head, fair lace. Grainy/malty, very maltsweet, no hops in sight. Pours very thick and feels full.
