Clear golden with white lacing foam head. Aroma is malty, some wheat and something undefined. The undefined syrfaced when drinking, taste dough, barley taste. Typical. (Velp 201408)

Bottle @ Pub L’Escale, Reims. Pours slightly hazy amber with small white head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with touches of honey, hops and spice. Sweetish onset of malt and fruit, giving way to bitter notes of hops and spicy touches. Estery finish with some bitter notes. Okay, rather well-balanced, but nothing really inspiring.

On tap at the GJBF in Osaka 2014. Angelus, 7%. A very clear light gold. Big yeasty fruity nose, very Belgian like with a healthy dose of spices. The taste is earthy, white pepper, coriander, orange and fruity sweetness. Slick mouthfeel. Not bad.

Clear golden blond. Earthy, hoppy aroma. Flavour has initial sweet malt but backed up with a light fresh hoppiness. Strong peppery flavour in the finish and aftertaste.

Malts and honey aroma. Tangy hop flavour. Strong on the metallic aftertaste. Flat texture, hardly any carbonation.

750ml corked and caged green bottle. Hazy yellow-tan body. Lots of rising carbonation bubbles meet a soapy white head. A touch of sour wheat and smooth, subdued French malt. I love the doughy, sublime mouthfeel of an authentic Biere de Garde. Lemony wheat and noble hops up front give it just a faint twang, otherwise it is just straightforward malt smoothness. Almost has some cider tendencies. Very enjoyable beverage.

Shared a 75cl bottle from Cora (Luxembourg). Pours an almost clear golden colour with a nice white head that rapidly disappear. Fine lacing, though. Aroma is malty, wheat and citrus. Average lively carbonation and medium to light body. Taste is medium bitter, light sweet and a bit sour/acid/metallic. Not so balanced and with a very dry metallic finish. Overall, a nice beer but with some downs in the flavour/taste.
