3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Light yellow colour and quite hazy. Very bitter finish with nice fruits, banana and hop aroma. A little bit too bitter beer for me but still I like quite much actually.

Bottle - 750mL crowned. Under the Biere de Garde moniker. Golden pour with a tall, fluffy white head. Aroma is fruity and floral with sweet malt notes, yeast, grass and candi sugar. Taste is very fruity and sweet with lots of malt notes, ripe fruits, yeast, candi sugar, grass, straw notes and bready malts. Body is medium with a strong, effervescent carbonation. Ends with more bready malts, sweet malt notes, fresh fruit, yeast, grassy notes, straw, floral hops and candi sugar. Tasty!

Bu en bouteille de 75cl, couleur blonde grosse mousse, bière intéressante au début de bouche mais qui fait beaucoup penser à une triple basique, pas incroyable non plus...

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bue en bouteille de 75cl. Bel équilibre houblon/levures qui en fait une bière agréable à boire (enfin faut aimer le houblon quand même). Très correcte !

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Rare Beer Club. Pours clear apple cider copper with rocky white head. Aroma: well, that’s awfully pleasant. Bubble gum and cotton candy on the nose. Sort of a Dupont saison thing going on as well, with lemon, pepper and cracker. Taste: despite the cotton candy on the nose, this is remarkably dry. Mineral, pepper, with a short, crisp, lightly bitter finish. Bubblegum in the aftertaste. Copper finish picks up after the first few sips, but stays in check. Alcohol becomes a bit more present as well, lending something of a spicy quality. Palate: light/medium body, average carbonation. Overall: I’m actually digging this quite a bit. Wasn’t really expecting to coming into it, but I’m glad I didn’t let those reservations keep me from enjoying this one.
Also, watching Sideways while rating beer. It’s funnier than I remember it, probably because I drink ("taste") now. Of course, I’m only half an hour in as I type this, so it may fall apart before the end, but so far it ain’t bad.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
750, corked. Aaaaand that’s it for the Rare Beer Club. Enough mediocre $46 shipments for this kid. Pours a hazy pale amber with a fizzy white head that hangs out for a while. Mild lemon and verbena nose, soft mineral notes. Fizzy light body. Starts out caramel, then goes coppery, then gets really coppery, and finishes really coppery.
