3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A hazed blonde ale with a thin white head. In aroma, a sweet fruity malt with bananas, curacao and coriander. In mouth, a sweet perfumey malt with loads of coriander, alcohol warmth, orange pulp, nice.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours hazy dark orange in color with a whitish head. Orange peel, mild grassy notes and a bit of fruitcake in aroma. Quite fruity this one in taste with a bit of breadiness too. A bit yeasty notes with some spices. More like an abbey tripel this one.

Aroma e sabor muito bons, lúpulos na medida certa, equilibrada, pecando um pouco no corpo e na carbonatação, além de pouca persistência sensitiva no retrogosto.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Light misty golden colour and stable light grey head. Interesting aroma that balances fresh yeast, crisp hops of green leaves and herbs with a sweet peachy malt. Very nice original. Smooth body, tingling yet light carbonation and clearly a yeasty profile. Starts medium bitter and has a dry, tea like ending. Bit medicinal. Calling this an ipa doesn’t do it justice at all. It’s more of a Belgian style blond with interesting, off centered hop mix and light refreshing body. Like a hoppy bière de garde, but never American. Unique brew, give it a try. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours a godlen orange with a medium, white head. Aroma is fruity with peach and apricot, some marzipan and caramel as well as slight yeast. Taste is semisweet and spicy. The fruits are there again, mostly apricot though some peach as well. Light clovy spiciness. Dries up with some pine nettles on the finish. Palate is quite light and quite carbonated. Another one of these French "IPA"s with sweet, marzipan and apricot esthers from the yeast and not much hoppy assertiveness. Not bad, but not what I expect when getting an IPA.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Opening results in a geyser of white foam, a desk full of beer and papers floating, slowly saturating, as well as in an explosion of herbal, green aromas, and finally in a meagre twenty cl of faintly veiled corn-yelliow beer interspeckled with miriad tiny UFO’s. Oh, and a bit of foam.... Aromatic hops in evidence, faintly medicinal, dried herbs, touch of corn syrup and impressions of juniper branch, cypress and bog myrtle. Medicinal-hoppy, flavourwise. Bitter, but a tad indifferent. Greenmalt retronasal, more herbal notes. Spritzy... light to medium bodied. Deserving try, certainly too modest for an IPA. And guys... noaste kiê ’a bitje minder gazze, èh?

Ma première India Pale Ale, française et je la classe tout de suite dans celles qu’il me faudra faire découvrir aux copains. Bien équilibré, son fort houblonnage résineux tirant sur les agrumes est une vrai bonne surprise.

Botted 330ml. -Courtesy of Marko (thanks!), shared with heavy and him.
Hazy yellow/golden coloured, medium sized white head, pleasant light agrumey nose. Moderate malty, flowery hoppy and agrumey taste with touch of green apple near the end. Really nice French IPA indeed, nice surprise.

Draught at La Fine Mousse, Paris. Clear amber, rich head. Fruity nose with resinous hops. Mid sweet with above medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with some honey and caramel, herbal hops and growing resiny bitterness.
