COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Thanks jaghana for this great French IPA. Hazy gold body with big head. Nose of hops, bananas and citrus. Quite lovely. Taste is spicy fruits, some hops for sure and citrus. Gets spicier and warmer. Quite a spicy and strong (forte!) IPA. Enjoyable definitely.

Bottle from L’Abbaye des Saveurs, Lille
Deep blond color, with generous head. Interesting aroma, spicy yeast, and sweaty hops, mild fruitiness. Dry malts flavor, with strong bitterness, and some herbal character; spicy as well, coriander. A bit rough, but very good.

courtesy of Laurent Mousson - cloudy blond-orange beer under a chaotic yet long lasting white foam; fresh hoppy aroma of oranges and citrus, gently yeasty; slightly sticky and very tasty; a good malt backbone and a solid tart bitterness; long fruity hoppy finish with more citric notes - solid yet elegant; looks like a crossing between tripel and IPA

Bottle, unexpectedly discovered in the beer menu of Olympen, Oslo. This is my 1789th rating, so I found it very appropriate to select a French beer in honor of their revolution. :-) Pours a clear pale golden body with a big creamy white head. Nose is grass, pale malts and hints of soap and something I can only describe in terms of the classic Norwegian candy "bruspulver"; a sort of fizzy, grape-like sweetness. Weird. Taste is alcoholic phenols, strong banana tones, herbs and light candy sugars. Hints of soap and bubble gum. A bit strange all in all, not too bad but certainly nothing to start a revolution over. Still: Vive La France, keep trying! :-)
