Panzerfaust (377), Santiago, Chile May 22, 2006 Updated: Nov 2, 2006 Pours a deep but clear liquid honey color with almost no head. It shows a modrate off-white lacing.
Strong malty aroma with notes of licorice, camomille, vanilla and honey. Very nice. Some hoppy hints come out after a little agitation with a slight orange touch.
Flavor is sweet with traces of ripe fruits like peaches, apricots, mango and soft orange notes. Good development while temperature increases. It finishes bitter. This is strange, but this Barley Wine is very drinkable, not as heavy as I expected. I could easily drink a 330 ml bottle.
Thick Syrupy texture, carbonation is soft. Sticky finish and highly alcoholic. The first REAL beer I have tasted from Argentina.

daknole (1131), Plantation, Florida, USA Nov 27, 2008 Tasting at Brewtopia. This really wasn’t good. One of the few I dumped in the VIP tent. Reddish pour wtih a medium sized head. Aroma and flavor just tasted like shit. I am glad this is retired. MrChopin (247), Pennsylvania, USA Nov 19, 2008 Thanks to jjpm79 for the bottle!
Murky orange-amber, no head will form despite effort. Syrupy grain for a nose, quite sweet. Flavor is similar, except alcoholic, medicinal, and bitter. Palate goes right along, rather oppressive and syrupy. More like a helles than a barley wine.
cmillward (235), Orlando, Florida, USA Oct 26, 2008 Bottle, courtesy of redlight. Pours an amber body with a thin off-white head. Aroma of butterscotch, sweet, a little earthy hop bitterness. Sweet and watery butterscotch flavor, faint hints of corn, slight bitterness, alcohol evident as it warms. Fairly thin and watery, but alcohol tingles the mouth. gnoff (2923), Göteborg, Sweden Oct 26, 2008 (Bottled 33 cl at SMÖF-08)
October 24, 2008
Apparently laid down since 2007
BB March 2008
Clear or slight hazy golden color, fluffy white head. Malty, sweet, a bit lactic, alcohol scent. Big sweet, malty, alcohol taste. Big smooth mouthfeel, low to medium bitterness. Peppry alcohol aftertaste. tronraner (1482), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Oct 2, 2008 750 mL, shared by NachlamSie. Pours orange/copper, with tight beige head. The aroma is very sweet, caramelized sugar, chewing gum, earth, apple, and papaya. The flavor is dusty, dirty, and very very metallic. There is some sweet brown sugar, corn husk, and staleness. Dry, papery finish with a soap-box aftertaste. No good, this.
