Not the best tasting beer. Murky yellow amber color. Very intense alcohol flavor.

Draft pour as part of a flight at their taproom in buenos aires. Darker oranges with a ton of foamy head. Crazy. Fruit loop and tangy taste. Massive flavor. Scorcht. Complex and not like a barleywine I've had before. Good?

Was not a fan of this beer. One of the last ones I had, and both my friends and I agreed it was not that good. We shared a pint of it, as no one really wanted to drink it all. Read other reviews for more deScription. I took pictures and made notes, but in all honesty I don’t think I will encounter this beer again, and if I have the chance, I will pass. That is enough for me to note on it. I am not too familiar with barley wines, but the few I had did not correlate with the taste of this one.

A bit weird, and not great for a barley wine but acceptable when ignoring the style. Bubblegum and bitterness but strangely mixed, or rather not mixed in a successful way. Strange beer but at least it has flavour.

from Mondial de la Bière 2013, Mulhouse - hazy reddish-brown beer with a modest foam left; aroma of tea, peaches and caramel; fairly sweet; full-bodied, quite lot of residual sugars, more notes of tea and apples in the finish

Copper-amber in color. Good head retention, tons of CO2, not good for this style. Floral aroma, not malty at all, a lot of sugar cane sweetness. It is the same with the flavor, you don’t feel the alcohol because of the sweetness. It has a pungent dry aftertaste that stays forever. This is not a barleywine, it is just an ok imperial pale ale or something, with tons of sugar.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Final longo e aquecido. Bela breja!

Dark ambar with a thin head. Taste fruity at the beggining with a good bitterness. Then, you can feel the alcohol fluents and some sweetness in your mounth.

Just weird. Smells and tastes like a hi-test europils with very little but ABV to call it a barleywine 15Arg$/12oz

2008 Vintage sampled in 2009. Hoppy tropical fruit aroma. Spicey and figgy palate. Lighter for a BW. Interesting flavors, but not excellent.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled randomly from some dude that brought a bottle to the JRHB meeting. Thanks, random dude! Light amber, very slight head. Hoppy aroma, lightly citric, with a bit of caramel. Flavor matches. On the light end of barleywines, and not very complex, but the flavors that were there were nice enough. I have memories of a very different Simpatico that was a random Mexican lager that came in a solid black bottle. It used to sit proudly next to Corona, Dos Equis, etc. back in the early 90’s. This fortunately is a step up from that one.
