So this cream stout is not quite to style, but more dry and creamy texture-wise. Sort of like Murphy’s. They said that they were using a special system to tap and serve. Does seem that way but the staff didn’t know too much about it. Served with a very creamy tan head and lots of lace with sheeting. Very well balanced flavors of dark malts, a little black patent, roasty and hint of sweetness. Almost but not quite chewy texture as well. No hop. Great satisfying finish. No boozyness. A sweet malty aroma. A bitter palate, roasted malt flavour with some fruit abd hints of tobacco. An increasing sweetness through the swallow. William (183), Utrecht, Netherlands

Pours a brownish black with some ruby hues (a color that´s fine but one I don´t like in my stouts) with a nice creamy beige head. Aroma is almost non existant, some toffee, but little else. Taste is of licorice, brown sugar, somewhat hoppy, but very subtle. A little boring and unidimensional. I think that´s because all antares range is filtered and pasteurized.
