Bottle at chris_o’s house. Perhaps not what many of us would call an imperial stout, but still puts that dark lord to shame. Alround: Grainy, roasty, caramel, quite easily drinkable and alc well hidden but too roasty and one dimentional for me.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Smells of coffee, chocolate, dough, some raisins. Tastes sweet with some peppery splashes. Lots of up front bitterness. Not bad.

330ml bottle. Pours into snifter glass with a thin head that quickly dissipates. Aromatic: anise and molasses but also slight butterscotch. Flavors also contain predominantly molasses but without sweetness. Finishes clean with little but a hint of roasted malt in the aftertaste.

Draught at the brewerys pub in Buenos Aires, black with reddish tints and a brown foamy head. A light coffee malt aroma. A full mouthfeel adna smooth palte that got more bitter during he swallow. Noticeable alcohol, with some light caramal flavurs, toasted malt (and sme aniseed as well I reckon).

Very dark brown, almost opaque, not much head. Plums, toasted malts, raisins and alcohol in the nose - shows signs of ageing (propably at least 1,5 years old bottle). Tar, woody hops, some dates. Long tarry roasted aftertaste. Interesting beer: imperial stout from Argentina, just a bit too offensive with its roast and tar.

Bottle. Dark brown with ruby tinges and a creamy eggshell head. The aroma has caramel, toast, near-burnt malts, and some sweet chocolate. Flavour is sweet raisin, chocolate, but not really up to the strength/fullness of an IS. The alcohol is very well masked and all you really get is a bit of warmth.
