mgermani (649), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Aug 27, 2007 Pours a slightly hazy dark orange-amber with a lovely tight head and minimal lacing. I could smell the butterscotch aroma as soon as I started pouring. Tastes bitter at first, but warms up into a nice light butterscotch taste with only a touch of a slightly peaty hop note. Body is well carbonated and creamy. Very nice beer, very weak aftertaste but otherwise no complaints.
Calichio (484), Campinas, Brazil Nov 28, 2008 Coloração âmbar, espuma bege que se dissipou rapidamente e totalmente. Presença marcante de malte, além de madeira, lúpulo e fermento. Médio amargor. Conjunto equilibrado. Boa cerveja. GregClow (2369), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 27, 2008 Bottle shared with jerc, mabel, blankboy & HogTownHarry - courtesy of HogTownHarry. Orange-amber colour with a wispy head. Aroma is sweet and lightly toasted, with a bit of caramel. Medium bodied. Flavour is OK, some light toffee and toasted malt. Nothing bad, quite drinkable, just pretty light for the style. Papsoe (11076), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 25, 2008 (Bottle 33 cl) Clear amber golden with a dense, off-white head leaving laces. Sweetish caramel in the nose. Surprisingly light-bodied with a little burned caramel and a whiff of cardboard. No bitterness. Rather poor. 200908 blankboy (2687), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 25, 2008 Bottle (660ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jerc & mabel -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a slightly hazy orange-copper with a small diminishing off-white head. Aroma of lightly toasted caramel, a hint of smoke and some grain. Sweet flavour of toffee, lightly burnt caramel malt and some earthy notes. Light to average bodied. Too thin for the style. Not bad, better then I expected. jerc (3268), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 23, 2008 2008-09-17. Dark amber body with a smallish beige head. (3+) Aroma of over cooked Wonder Bread toast from a diner or greasy spoon. Flavour is sweetish, quite mild though. Notes of the Wonder Bread character as in the aroma, light grainy bready notes in the finish. Average to thin palate is much too thin for the style. Not offensive but rather mild, unexciting. Bottle shared by HogTownHarry
