You may have taken a draw of this Belgian brew in the past, during your afternoon "client relations" meetings at Brasserie Beck. The double blonde was developed with the help of some intense Belgian brewers (as if there’s any other kind) known as the Brouwerij De Musketiers, and it actually helped Thor Cheston, Beck’s beer director, get knighted by the beer guild in Brussels.

And now, for the first time, they’re bottling it. It comes in a 750ml version—complete with corks and wire cages—and, at this very minute, it’s on a ship approaching our shores, where it’s due to arrive any day (icebergs notwithstanding) for your closer-to-home client relations. When it gets here, expect something citrusy and yeasty, but a little less potent than your typical Belgian

Tap. Pours a hazed creamy light orange hue with a huge pillowy offshore head. Aroma surprisingly subdued. Old wet soggy grass. Banana. Over ripened pear. Taste is relatively potent rustic pear and banana parfait. Touch of grassy bitterness. Touch of cracker malts. Medium body with a dry finish. Pretty nice. Liked this just fine.

Pours a golden orange copper with large long lasting off white fluffy head. Good head retention and lacing throughout. Aroma is fruity and citrusy with Belgian yeast and biscuit malt. Taste is citrus fruity flavor, Belgian yeast, biscuit malt, mild citrus hops with some mild vanilla notes. Palate is a medium body, smooth with sweet bitter notes. Finishes with sweet malt, yeast, fruity citrus notes with some mild bitterness. The ending is slightly tart oak aged lingering vanilla flavor. Overall a very good flavorful and enjoyable brew.

330ml from Total Wine in Claymont. Pours clear orange with an aggressive head and a ton of carbonation in the glass. This is a complex smelling beer. There is a big apricot nose with some citrusy hoppy notes. Really inviting. The taste has a nice sweetness to it.. orange, maybe some banana, apricot.. a little spice on the finish. Very nice.

Not too memorable though I found it a bit too sweet and just a little funky. Being smooth was its only good quality.

Very mellow and yeasty. But not in a bad way. This could be a great intro into Belgians. This almost comes across as a Belgian session beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear amber lacing head. The aroma has some lemon, yeast, some grass, very earthy. The flavor is similar. Lots of carbonation for a refreshing brew

My brother was nice enough to buy me a bottle of Antigoon. I did not expect a murky golden Belgian Ale. Yeasty bread, bitterness and even sour overwhelm the taste buds. Double blonde may be best to describe this Belgian Ale.

Pours a hazy straw with notes of banana and yeast. The palate dances with yeast notes that turn a bit dry during the mid palate. a nice spiced finish.
