At Total Wine Belgian beer tasting. Tied with St Bernardus 12 for best of the dozen we tasted. Bested all three Chimay. Great aroma and very smooth.

Has a very sweet almost honey smell. A nice bitter taste that isn’t overpowering. Goes down very smooth
4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 Cybercat (2451) - Georgia, USA - JUL 15, 2011
Pours a somewhat hazy dark golden with a thick and rather persistent off-white head that leaves some decent lacing. The bottle I got foamed like crazy, so open with caution! Strong aroma is fruity, mainly apple with hints of pear and orange, with a yeasty undertone and just a hint of hops. Rich, mouth-filling flavor is malty and fruity, a little sweet, with hints of butterscotch, banana and caramel as well as a touch of hops - it seems as though each sip is a little different. Dee-lishus! Texture is creamy and fizzy, leaving behind a tingly, fruity, slightly sweet, slightly hoppy and edgy finish. Heartily recommended!

This is a pretty spicy beer that tastes like a not-so-subtle saison. The crux of the body isn’t so strong, but the beginning and the end are quite spicy. Smooth, flavorful, definitely worth it.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 branspra (293) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - APR 29, 2010
Bottle. Pours a hazy light amber color with an extremely large, very dense, white head. Lacing is very strong. Aromas of bananas, caramel, bread, and hay dominate. Palate is very smooth and creamy with a nice crisp finish. Flavors of banana and hay dominate again, but then it has a nice bitter aftertaste. This is an amazing beer!

love the look, feel and taste of this beer. its got a nice assortment of golden straw malts with a touch of floral arrangements. slightly fruity wiith honey like sweetness. the palate is very soft and the carbonation is not very fizzy but it does work its magic.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 ExpendableHero (656) - Florida, USA - MAR 21, 2012
A present from a possum. Hazy golden beer with a decent white head. Strong aromas of Belgian sugars, and mixed fruit. Tastes of sweet dough and lots of wheat beer flavors: some oranges, lemons, even some bananas. So light, and smooth. Ends on a Belgian sugar goodness note. This beer is refreshing, and quite remarkable. Great brew.

Pours clear gold with a lasting, creamy head with nice lacing. The aroma is of honey, cut grass, orange, wheat, fruit esters, and barnyard funk - really complex and pleasant! The taste is clean and dry, with lemon and caramel dominant, with a medium-light hop bitterness present in the finish. Medium bodied with likewise carbonation. Nicely balanced Belgian ale.

750 c&c from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy dark gold with a foamy/creamy 4 finger off-white head. Aromas of citrus, yeast/spice, a soupçon of earth. Maybe pineapple? Med body. It is pleasant, earthy, yeasty, and citrusy bitter? Or herby bitter? Really quite nice.
