You may have taken a draw of this Belgian brew in the past, during your afternoon "client relations" meetings at Brasserie Beck. The double blonde was developed with the help of some intense Belgian brewers (as if there’s any other kind) known as the Brouwerij De Musketiers, and it actually helped Thor Cheston, Beck’s beer director, get knighted by the beer guild in Brussels.

And now, for the first time, they’re bottling it. It comes in a 750ml version—complete with corks and wire cages—and, at this very minute, it’s on a ship approaching our shores, where it’s due to arrive any day (icebergs notwithstanding) for your closer-to-home client relations. When it gets here, expect something citrusy and yeasty, but a little less potent than your typical Belgian

Bottle. Pours a hazy light amber color with an extremely large, very dense, white head. Lacing is very strong. Aromas of bananas, caramel, bread, and hay dominate. Palate is very smooth and creamy with a nice crisp finish. Flavors of banana and hay dominate again, but then it has a nice bitter aftertaste. This is an amazing beer!

33cl Bottle from Vonk, ABV is 7%. Hazy golden yellow colour, white head. Aroma of yeast, dry floral malts, light lemon, dusty. Flavour is light to medium sweet, dry, pale malts, floral, light citrusy, yeasty, dry bitter finish with excess carbonation. Light to medium bodied. OK.

Thick luscious head, great nose... then it's all down hill to sour town. Pretty much a vertical drop for my likings. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Gold with a large white head. Aroma of honeyed dough, spices. Sweet hay and dough Some citrus as well as spices at a finish that’s moderately bitter and leans enough towards dry. As it warmed a little there was peach and some pineapple. The spices are punchy but not overbearing.

ABV 7.0 in this case. Hazy golden with a large, creamy, white head. Nose is hay, hops and citruses, but a little. Medium carbon and body as well. Taste is bitter. Palate oscilates between hops varieties and fresh and ripe fruits. Bitter aftertaste. B@H

Bottle 330ml (from BBF, BB 06/2018)
Deep golden color, good white head, nice lacing. Aroma has grass, wood and peach. Medium-bodied. Peachy fruity flavor with woody-grassy flavors which I don’t like. Some herbal bitterness and light alcohol. A bit weird.

A hazy golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of fruits, straw, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, fruits, yeast, and straw, leading to a dry finish.

Go Musketeers !!!

Colore biondo dorato, molta schiuma, persistente. Profumo molto fruttato, un poco erbaceo. Molto fruttata anche in bocca, con un bel finale leggermente secco e amaro il giusto, con un ottimo equilibrio.
