COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cryomalus is ice cider of gilded color. With the nose, a perfume hazel nut, apricot notes and candied fruits appear slightly. In mouth, an exceptional length gives an impression of honey and citrus fruits savour with a point of bitterness.

Bottle, pours a nice light clear brown. The apples were nice and smooth, the sweetiness was nice it was the most sweet I’ve had, it was definitely one of the beer iced ciders I’ve had, good stuff

2008 vintage bottle sampled at Mondial des Cidres de Glace 2014 with Linh, Minh and Angela. Pours a golden body. Aroma is apple pie, apple sauce, honey, light maple and faint alcohol character. Mouthfeel is medium to full with similar notes coming through on the palate. Nice.

Bottle (375 ml). 2009 Harvest. Thanks Alex! Clear bright golden/orange. There’s a lot of sweetness in the aroma with a bright apple presence, brown sugar and peaches/apricots presence. Taste is also very sweet with caramel, brown sugar, apricots, pears. Nice acidic presence too. Thick body. Liquorous. Very complex. One of the sweetest Ice Cider I’ve had so far.

Bottle. Lovely deep orange hue. Aroma is sweet fresh apples and skins, cooked sugars, quince. Sticky sweet apple fruit up front, leading into a sugary simple-syrup middle, but ending with a tart apple skin acidity that carries some nuances tropical fruits. A bit of a mixed bag, but certainly very delicious.

Corked bottle at Canoe Restaurant, Toronto
Vintage 2009

Beautiful amber color. Deep aroma, somehow different from the other ice ciders; very fruity, with mature apples, some acidity, and a light biscuits note; very light acetic too. Very sweet but possibly less syrupy than expected; excellent flavor of mature apples, moderate acidity; distinctively from others, it doesn’t have the same sugary feeling and stewed apples, but it has a very light and pleasant astringency.
Excellent.

Bottle shared by a beer friend’s girlfriend after her trip to Montreal. Pours a beautifully clean and shiny gold, headless. Aroma is rich of apple juice with slight doughy notes. Flavor is sweet of apple juice, sticky of caramel, and slightly tangy of orange/orange peel. Minimally sweet with sticky apple juice finish. Really good!

Pours a clear, slight yellow hint and fairly still. Aroma is sweet, tarte apple with some honey. Taste is subtle and subdued although not as pronounced as I would like. Highly tarte with slight bitterness.

Cuvée 2009: A golden cider with superb cooked apples, light vanilla notes, maple, very nice. In mouth, a smooth apple sauce with light woody notes, very nice alcohol warmth. Tasted at Bières des Neiges et Vins d’Hiver, Fev. 17 2012.

Bottle that I took to Andy’s New Years Eve party/tasting/Fluxx tournament. Pours a clear gold. Big sugar and sweetness on the nose, dusty apple sugar. Medium bodied, velvety and smooth, nice bright acid comes through. Apple sugar, lingering acid on the finish. Yummy. And fortunately, we had two bottles of this. Muah ha ha.
