Friends brought a plastic bottle labeled and filled from the tap at the brewery from their trip to the Czech Republic. Carbonation survived the plane trip. Not hoppy by American IPA standards, but fruity maltiness is definitely different from typical Czech lagers.

Beczka; barwa bursztynowa, opalizująca. Piana opada do cienkiej warstwy. Aromat cytrusowy, ziemisty, zywiczny, słodkich owoców. Smak owocowy, ziemisty, slodowy. Goryczka srednia. Alkohol rozgrzewa i jest delikatnie wyczuwalny.

300ml bottle (Hilpea Haukki, Helsinki, Kalakierros 2015)
Pleasant fruity aroma, sweet caramelly malts. Cloudy ruddy orange, small tan head. Lovely fresh crisp rye grains, lovely fruity hops. Light palate, quite crisp carbonation. Lots of esters in the retronasals, and of course tons of rye. No sign of 7% at all. Just a bit of diacetyl at the end, a little bit slick, but it was 40 minutes old at the time. Delicious Rye IPA.

Bottle 0,75l from Base camp Praha. Copper-amber body, white head. Aroma is intensive fruity and floral: mango, citrus, spices, pine needle-leaves, resin, herbs. Taste is rich: honey, malts, tropical fruits, especially mango, spices, cloves, grapefruit. Bitterness and sweetness, full body and medium carbonation, very silky on the mouthfeel.
Pretty good one! One of the richest IPAs I’ve ever had.
