Mata Blondie is a refreshing, cloudy Belgium style Wheat beer brewed with a specially selected Belgium Yeast strain. Mouth-watering aromas and flavours of coriander and citrus are evident, along with a secret indigenous NZ spice.

massive head overflows everywhere, that was a bit of a surprise, i always enjoy weird things like that...anyway, lots and lots of orange is the most apparent thing, unfortunately there isn’t much complexity around it, and it doesn’t have much bite to balance. but it’s not bad.

Aroma of ginger and flavour of lemon makes this a refreshing summer drink. Maybe a little watery though...

On tap at Brothers Beer, Auckland, August 2014. A bit hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma and taste of lime, citrus, some spices and yeast. A bit strange to be honest.

Palest hazy white-blonde with lemon aroma. Slightly peppery fresh corriander with lemonpeel, and orange. Medium body and carbonation. A lovely wit. Secret ingredient horopito chili.

Clear straw yellow color, thin white head and some visible carbonation. Funky lemon nose mixed with some classic wit nose. Strange. Lemon and pine taste. Very soapy. Some odd funk in this. Heavy lemon tart feel to this. Needs more orange. Strange stuff

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Not my kind of style and this is definitely not how I would normally like this style. Loads of lemon zest and sour undertones. Doesn’t come together, not for me

Tasted horrible. Lingering bad flavors due to the overuse of some ’special nz spice’...wouldn’t drink this, even if stuck on a deserted island with crates of this to spare.

Cloudy yellowcolour with large firm white head. Huge lemon zest aroma. Citrus flavour which is short. Tangy mouthfeel.

On Tap at Hallertau. Bronze in colour with thick white head, slight haze. Quite malty for a wheat beer.Metalic bite at the end.

Bottle. Citrusy, spicy witbier nose and typical pale, cloudy appearance. Minimal head. Coriander, citrus and something else (the secret NZ ingredient) very prominent in flavour, almost overpowering. The body is light with average carbonation which should make it easy drinking but there is a long spicy finish that’s not to my liking.

traditiona Wit nose. Clear enough to still see thru the glass. Lovely balanced flavours - a little tropical, a little spice. Drying in the finish maybe a touch much coriander and a little thin in patches but hingly drinkable none the less
