Bottle sample at a tasting at our place. Thanks tomer. Clear amber with an orange, almond and honey aroma and a rich, full, deep and sweet taste. Sticky texture and long finish.

18cl bottle shared by Cunningham - thanks a lot! Clear golden without much head. Aroma of honey with wooden and floral notes. Sweet and surprisingly flavourful and feels kind of balanced. Tasty stuff!

Clear deep nutty color with absolutely no head at all. Fruity, nutty and honey in the aroma. Not as thick body as expected. Quite oily stuff. Fruity, plums, honey, nutty and some spices in the flavor. No sticky alcohol coming up. Nice mead.
[Merry go a around bottle. ClubGonzo trade with Cuso that ended up right here]

Bottle, from trade with Cuso - cheers man! :-) Pours a crystal clear amber body. Aroma is caramel sauce, alcohol, nuts, nougat and hints of floral honey. Taste is stinging alcohol, nuts, nougat, deep forest honey notes and hints of caramel sauce and brown sugar. Quite pleasant, except for the overt alcohol notes, which makes me suspiscious of spirit fortification - a practice that really should be unecessary in the case of a 13,5 % ABV mead. But all in all, a pretty decent mead.

Wonderful mead donated by Cuso and shared with McTapps. Thick one with loads of plums and some cherries in the back. Highly drinkable with a decent honey background. Sweet and bit strong. Definitely a classy one.

Bottle with many thanks from Imro! The mead pours out in a beautiful clear deep honey-amber colour with smooth body. Wonderful aroma of honey and herbs. Taste of intense honey, herbs, mild spices and spruce. Deep and complex taste with a wonderful smooth body. Enjoyed it a lot.

Bottle 18 cl at Gothenburg Beer Festival 2013 (Haket), Saturday, sampled on September 7, 2013.
Wrote down "Apimed Medovina Tmava" 18 cl 13,5% ABV, z lesného medy.
Clear deep golden color, no head, no legs. Sweet, solvents, apple, honey, alcohol scent. Sweet, honey, sugary taste. Honey aftertaste. Warming alcohol. Smooth mouthfeel, low to no bitterness. Something just feels slightly off about it, especially in the taste.

Pours a deep golden brown. Aroma of honey, mild booze, and subtle spice. Flavor is deep honey, earthy and sweet. Mild spice and hints of mint. Subtle dark fruit notes and a bit of chemical. A lot going on here. Not bad but my least favorite of all the Apimed meads I have tried.

UPDATED: MAR 26, 2013 Clear pinkish copper, with an odd aroma of spice and thrift store. Taste is funny and syrupy, with some weird stale honey, stale funny citrus rind, on a thick chewy body with some mulling spice notes. Not a fan at all.
