3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 sayravai (4548) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 27, 2008
(Bottled) Deep aged white wine color with no head. Pear-cidery, slightly sweet, white-wiineous aroma. Flaovr of honey, some alcohol, grapes, hints of oak. Quite full-bodied with no carbonation. A pleasant substitute for sweet, aged dessert wine - but nothing to do with beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 rickgordon (3764) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 13, 2008
Bottled. Pale transparent amber colour. Roses, canned pears and honey aroma and gently vineous. Nice blend of honey and subtle vineousness along with oaky vanilla notes makes this a very clean table mead. Good stuff!
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 fiulijn (10383) - Como, ITALY - DEC 22, 2007
Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival 2007 afterfestival at Akkurat Pure gold. Nice aroma, sweet, with light honey, ripe apples, sweet wood. Medium body, then honey flavor with the right sweetness, and just a touch of acidity and citrus to balance it. Excellent!

Bottled. A golden mead with no head. The aroma is sweet and no wonder dominated by honey. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of honey, leading to a dry woody finish.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Svesse (4389) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - SEP 15, 2007
(Bottle, Akkurat, Stockholm, 14 Sep 2007) Golden yellow colour, no head. Sourish nose with notes of dry sherry, oak, ripe green apples and a hint of dissolvent. Fruity, slightly sourish notes of honey, ripe apples and berries (cranberries?). Smooth and spicy with balanced sweetness. Leaning slightly in the sherry direction. Actually my first taste of some real mead, and I was impressed. There will be more of this.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BMan1113VR (6444) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAR 8, 2010
Bottle marked 960/3. Pours with a clear golden body with decent, strong legs. Aroma of wax, grass, pepper, herbs and alcohol. Taste is sweet and nutty (chestnuts and hazelnuts), herbal, wax, dryish finish. Long duration. Thin mouthfeel for what it is. If this is truly the driest mead they make, I am quite scared for my insulin levels (and I am not a diabetic). Lightly tangy in the finish. Slightly tannic. Alcohol peaks through.
