4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear amber body - really does look like amber. Big thick legs. There’s a strong alcohol presence in the aroma but it’s a very clean alcohol - enjoyable really. There’s a sweet apple as well. Big sweet flavor - apple, sugar (brown and powdered) and of course of alcohol (but again it’s clean). The flavor isn’t really complex but it’s also enjoyable. The alcohol acts is a positive influence on the mead vs. being a detractor. Not bad for $9 per 750mL!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear golden amber color, like apple juice. Noticable alcohol scent, not offensive to me. Very sweet flavor. Decent body. Overall, very interesting (keep in mind I’ve never tried a mead before.)

Thanks to Dave for sharing.
glows an orangish amber color nicely translucent like a dark applejuice almost no head but some nice legs.
Highly alcoholic aroma lots of fruits and honey, fruit could be grape and pear a touch of medicinal hints. Palate if smooth and fairly well coated. Flavor is extremly sweet very very honey and more honey then some more. Some light fruits pear & apricot. Reminiscent of a sweet port wine. Alcohol comes through only slightly in the swallow.
I really liked it.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle labeled "11-02-2004". Clear, and very light amber with a pink hue. Very shiney and nice to look at. Especially nice in a snifter. Kind of a scotch whisky, with that pink hue. Very thin alcohol viscosity with some legs. Chardonnay alcohol and honey aroma. Pretty nice but not too complex aroma. Very (very) sweet taste of honey and light fruit. Sticky and coating mouthfeel. Nice experience.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The first mead I ever sampled. Amazingly clear pour in a seemingly gilded light garnet color with no head. Very nice looking pour. The aroma is a dark current, honey, and an alcohol character, along with a bit of a medicine aroma, probably from the alcohol. The first sip leaves little of the expected alcohol, instead there is a sweet syrupey full flavored drink. Sweetness really sticks arounad and a tingly alcohol appears late and provides nice warmth as it travels to the stomach. Alcohol and more sweetness lending a floral quality, and strangely a finish with some similarity to the medecine Kaopectate, although lacking the thick chalky feel. Suprisingly, this does not turn me off to the drink, maybe because I always liked the taste of Kaopectate. Nice full, and very smooth, finish.

Nice golden amberish color,No head of course. The aroma was fruity and honey with a nice flavor of of al those things with just a hint of oakeiness thrown in to make it all round out.I have to agree with the others it’s not Jadwiga but it’s still a close second IMo and well worth having around.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a golden copper with no head or noticable carbonation. Smells rich in honey, flowers, molasses, some citrus. Taste is slightly medicinal and bitter but the nice sweet fruity elements are present. Thick mouthfeel, but not as bold as jadwiga.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Low carbonation clear amber color kinda of like a spirit. Rich honey nectar aroma with some serious alcohol and rich oak and lots of aged aromas. Flavor is very sweet, lots of honey and a bit of spiciness. Also quite a bit of alcohol though very little burn. Maybe a bit too sweet for my taste, but still a pretty enjoyable beverage. Oh yeah, Thanks Lumpy!!

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
(Bottle) Pours a medium brown with pinkish highlights. Aroma of honey and black currants. Medium bodied for a mead. Flavor of honey and hint of berries. Smooth and very tasty!
