Pours golden. Aroma of sweet honey and vanilla. Flavor shows great depth. Pure fresh honey right from the comb. Light vanilla, and brown sugar like notes. Such a great Polish mead. Could sip it for days.

Kolor ladny ciemno zloty, zapach typowy dla miodow, naturalny, ale jak dla mnie wciaz za slodki. Ulepkowy i landrynkowy na ustach. Uwaga bo zgaga gotowa gdy się przesadzi z ilościa.

Bottle share courtesy of sebletitje. This makes my 50th mead rating! The bottle pours coppery bronze and leaving behind classic thick legs on the inside of the glass. The aroma is musty earthy sweet honey and a bit of a paper sensation at the end of the draw. The taste is rich yummy smooth sweet honey with a light caramelized sugar sort of sensation. Behind those notes is a faint sweet earthiness adding to the depth of the experience. Terrific mead.

750 ml bottle. Clear coppery colour, no head. Overpowering, sweet aroma of honey, berries, fermented fruits, spices and alcohol. The flavour is sweet, liqueur-like, dominated by honey with spices and berries in the background. Full-bodied and sticky, no carbonation. Delicious.

UPDATED: JAN 5, 2013 75 cl, bottled. Pours clear somewhat apple juice colour with no head. Aroma: Raisins. Sugar. Cherries. Wood. Taste: Super sweet, honey. Coffee. Toffee. Tons of flavours. Slight sourish. Palate: Thick body, no carbonation. Sticky. This is great in small amounts, esp. for tasting.

Pour out of 500 mL bottle, thanks a ton Caleb. Murky brownish black pour with no head, aroma brought big notes of sour fruits, currants, blackberry, some honey, oak, and vanilla come through as well, big and rich. Taste is excellent, has the sweetness from the berry, currants, sour cherry like flavors, mixing with sweet honey, going into nice tannic, slightly tart notes, finishing with a mix of sweet and sour and dry. Tasty, and I almost prefer it in a different way than the Jadwiga.

Pours a darker purple color. Aroma is sweet berries, honey, and cardboard. Taste is papery honey. The black currants are pretty well covered up, actually. Too bad. Not for me.
