Bottle at Papsø’s - Thanks. Clear golden/brown - no head. Raisins, flowery notes, alcoholic, rubber, nutty, walnuts, light oxidation, light wooden notes, caramel, dried fruits, oiley.

Bottle, 75cl. It’s a clear one, deep chestnut in color. Rather oily pour. Lots of honey and a good dash of oxidation on the nose, some dried fruits blending in. Oily and warming on the palate, full-bodied and certainly tasteful. Honey, more honey, heather hints, dried fruits and oxidation. Lasting finish with a pleasant warmth. Another wonderful mead from S.P. Apis. 111105

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. No head. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are honey, caramel, brown sugar and alcohol. Nice and warming.

75 cL bottle, courtesy of fiulijn. Pours clear and golden deep orange, no head. Aroma is mild fruity, honey and light phenolic. Sweet, overripe fruity, raisins and brown sugar. Lingering fruity and sweet. Nice.

Measured Final Gravity: 1072
Dark amber color, old hue, bright. Deep aroma of honey, with an impression of grass and horses; caramel; later, some alcohol, and flowers. Sugary and syrupy mouthfeel; sweet caramel flavor, mature honey, liquor, correct acidity level, with a nice warming feeling from the alcohol.
Lovely as always, but missing some depth.

[ Thx to fiulijn & The Cph Crew ]. Clear medium to dark orange colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy honey, wood, plum, alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, spicy honey, plum honey, alcohol. Body is medium, texture is syrupy, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. Bottle @ FOneFan. Clear dark amber with no head. Aroma is honey, fruit and caramel. Flavour is honey, dark fruit, sweet, caramel, warming and toffee.

Bottle @ Ulfborg, Early Winter Tasting, 2011. Pours clear amber with no head. Sweet nutty nose and flavor. Lots of caramel, nuts and a bit of honey. Sweet and oily. Delicious!

Bottle at Papsø. Clear orange coloured with a small white head. Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel, honey and dried fruits with notes of propolis. Sweet and fruity flavour of caramel, honey and propolis with notes of dried fruits and alcohol. Warming alcoholic finish.

Bottled. a dark amber mead. the aroma has notes of honey, spices, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of honey, spices, and caramel, leading to a dry finish. Thanks fiulijn for sharing.
