Very sweet! First time trying mead. Thought the taste would be closer to beer but rather it’s closer to port wine. Not bad but a bit too sweet for me. Bought it in Warszawa airport.

Ceramic bottle, 16%. Wax, white wine aroma. some oxidised honey. Clear deep amber colour. Nicely sweet flavour, seems a little oxidised, but in a good way. Very sweet, of course. Has a little citric note to balance, vinous and alcoholic. Good oily mouthfeel.

Bottle. Deep amber mead with no head. Alcohol and honey aroma. Sweet, honey flavour, feels almost like drinking sugar and honey. I think this one would be nice if you heat it up and drink in a cold winter day :-)

Bottle @ [ Tasting by fiulijn ].

Clear medium to dark amber orange colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate honey, flowers, nectar, pollen, light wood, moderate to light heavy alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light acidic with a long duration, fruity, honey sweet, alcohol warm. Body is medium to full, texture is syrupy, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20110926]
