Very sweet! First time trying mead. Thought the taste would be closer to beer but rather it’s closer to port wine. Not bad but a bit too sweet for me. Bought it in Warszawa airport.

Ceramic bottle, 16%. Wax, white wine aroma. some oxidised honey. Clear deep amber colour. Nicely sweet flavour, seems a little oxidised, but in a good way. Very sweet, of course. Has a little citric note to balance, vinous and alcoholic. Good oily mouthfeel.

Bottle courtesy of Kaj (non-RB). Pours clear deep golden with no head worth mentioning. Smell is sweet with dark honey, caramel, vanilla fudge, sweet bread, alcohol, ginger, wood and orange zest. Taste is sweet with dark honey, caramel, lemon zest, alcohol, forest fruit hard candy, ginger, lemon grass, wood and orange zest. Mouthfeel is sticky sweet, tiny fruity tart and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet with caramel, alcohol, dark honey, hay and hints of forest fruit hard candy. Intense burning mead... Very tasty.
