COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It has very rich specific fragrance due to the addition of raspberries and wild rose to nectar honey.

1 litre of Półtorak style mead contains 720 g of natural honey. By comparison, the Dwojniak style of mead contains 610g/L of honey; the Trojniak contains 420g/L and the Czworniak contains 320g/L.

Półtorak mead matures for several years to achieve full clarity. In time its rich aroma hides a high content of alcohol (16%) and acidity forming the finest liquor there is.

Amber colour with no head. Fruity aroma that reminds me of sherry. Aslo a bit sour. Sweet and fruity flavour. Oily texture. Drinkable in small kvanta.

Bottle at Natifest 2012. Thanks to DrSilverworm for bringing it. Honestly, one of the best meads I have had. Smooth and rich with citrus and dark fruits. The raspberry in not hard to find. Awesome.

Bottle in the wooden cage, shared at Natifest. Big thanks to radarsock for this. Clear reddish brown color. No head. Wow, what an aroma. Such a rich, raspberry honey flavor. Thick, big body, kind of viscous, but it works wonderfully for the rich flavor of this mead. Like nothing else I’ve had. Awesome, endless honey sweet aftertaste. Such a good one to share. Little hotness in the finish, but for 16%... It’s totally fine. Definitely best mead I’ve had, I think. One to savor, super-interesting. Like liquid candy.

Bottle to taster at Natifest (thanked DrSilverworm). Looks good; reddish-brown and still. Smells and tastes solid; sweet, fruity and boozy. Mouthfeel is good. Nice.

Finally got to try this badboy, expensive, but with a try at least once. Aroma was of honey, raspberries, light cofee, and chocolate too. Flavor is toffee, honey, coffee cream and light chocolate. Lots of stuff going in here, hard to pick out all of them. Great stuff and worthy of the praise.

Yowza! Just yowza! Huge thanks to kiefdog for bringing this one and sharing it around. Pours a hazy yellow-gold with pink highlights. Nose is a burst of raspberries to the nectar, honeycomb, and beautiful Polishness of this mead. Flavor is similar- the base mead shines wonderfully as the deep and earthy raspberries shine through this one. It is boozy and formidable like a fine spirit. Full in body for a mead and truly unique in the world of meads.

Wow, this mead was amazing, poured an amber color, aromas of honey, flavors are honey, not overly dry, not overly sweet, spot on. This was shared at Markwise’s bday bash, big in abv, but sure didn’t taste like it, this was great stuff.

Bottle at James’ place. Pours amber with no head. Sweet honey, light spices, sweet caramel candy. Just a hint of booze, but in a good way. Awesome.

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2012 Excellent - rich and decadent. Very sweet and full - but I never felt over whelmed. Thick pour - a bloody red colour. Lots of honey and the raspberry is a nice accompaniment. Some woody flavours too. All well integrated in a big, bold fantastic that shows depth in the aging process. An unmissable experience.

75 cl bottle (or what was left of it) @ Gastropub Tuulensuu. Rated on 22.01.2011
Aroma is sweetish with honey and some alcohol. Flavour is very sweet and rather rich on honey, some sugar and warming alcohol. Alcohol is also stinging on some sips. My first touch on the real Meads, nice.
