COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lubelski is produced with the addition of wild forest fruits to nectar honey.

One litre of Półtorak mead contains 720 g of natural honey. Półtorak mead matures for several years to achieve full clarity. In time its rich aroma hides a high content of alcohol (16%) and acidity forming the finest liquor there is. It has a subtle though clearly discernible aroma.

Deep golden color, no head. Strong honeyish, calvados-like apple aroma. Full-bodied. Very sweet, real honeyish, sticky with warming alcohol in the aftertaste. Light herbal, clover flavor. Excellent mead.

0.75 l bottle. Copper to amber color. Sweet flowery nectar like aroma with raisins, raspberry and surprisingly strong alcohol note. Sweet rich taste with flowery honey, raisins, orange. The aroma is somewhat boozy but the flavor is just nectar of gods. Great with brie cheese.

25cl bottle from Krakow side-by-side with Kurpiowski and Apis. I just don’t think I’m a big enough mead fan/connoisseur to do these bottles justice. Glad I got them for about 20 Zloty and not some huge stateside markup. This had the lightest color by far; more gold than brown. The aroma was different and honestly reminded me of a Rusty Nail (the drink with scotch and Drambuie vs. the metal fastening device). I think the flavor and body were much lighter which actually made me like it a little more since it was not as syrupy. Really not sure what "wild forest fruits" are but I couldn’t identify them in the profile. Probably better as an aperitif....in small doses.

Illatában természetesen a mézé a főszerep, emellett fűszerek is erősítik a harmóniát.

No 627 Rated 05 12 2008 Bottle brown, 750 ml Appearance Pours very oily sticky in texture with high viscosity, very meady in texture like honey, body is perfectly clear, burned orangy golden, brownish, dark amber, very lively, essential, beautiful, crystal clear Aroma Heavy honey accents, very juicy sweet, but what is more to balance it you can easily feel scents of undergrowth and fruits of forests, alcohol content being high is perfectly hidden and spices up the aroma influenting it positively, plum, some accidity suggesting dry flavour, notes of crystalized honey, very strong and essential aroma Flavour Not that sweet especially in the aftertaste and not that fruity as compared to Apis Poltorak Jadwiga However very fat and rich in honey, very juicy, sweet and natural being present on palate, front is sweet and quite alcoholic but ago in a positive way adding and contributing to its character, later on some dry oriented accidityis felt, finally to develop into sweet, sticky finish with really noble forest fruity nose and scents of undergrowth, notes of plum and prune, resin, raisins, finish duration is very long Palate Body is full, texture is oily with very sticky sweet finish

Bottle, thx to thewolf. Pours a clear, golden body with no head. Quite oily. Alcohol, sweetness, honey and hints of heather in the aroma. The flavor is sweet, with warming alcohol, honey and a little heather. Oily, full-bodied mouthfeel. The finish is long with sweetness and honey. A beautiful mead, just like the other Apis meads I’ve had, but this one was a bit on the sweet side. (080301)
