Trade from Geophagus, thanks man. Clear golden body with no head. Aroma is honey, caramel, light alcohol, ripe fruit. Flavour is sweet honey, caramel, sweet ripe fruit, light boozy. Waterish mouthfeel. I have a tiny burning feeling on my lips. I like it, and I like mead more and more.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle aged for...a while, I dunno, a year-ish. Pours out a copperish golden honey hue. The nose is sweet with clove honey notes and a little sweet berry tones. The taste is full and rich with sticky honey flavors, though not syrupy in texture or tone. A little light juicy berry, a little lavendar, and golden sunshine nectar...not a real thing but I feel it’s a pretty apt description. Rich. Clean. Warming and sweet. But not cloying, not even close.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 750ml. Clear, pale golden color, minimal white foam. Aroma: Fruits, wood, winey notes know from Porto and basement aromas reminds me great Tokay asu wines. Medium alcohol note, a bit too strong. Taste: Moderate sweetness, crisp, fruity, avarage sour. Finish is medium long with notes of oak. Dry and crisp mead with great drinkiability.

Pours a lighter colored gold with. The aroma has sweet notes of honey and some spices. Taste is sweet honey and some spices. Overall, its pretty good. I think I’m developing a preference for the lower alcohol meads.

Nice, but prefer some of the others from Apis.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a deep golden color with a solid and long lasting sheeting on the glass.
The aroma is more of the really plesant tequila-like bouquet not unlike the Czworniak Korzenny I had a week ago. Fairly sweet smelling, some good honey, light maple character, and a good bit of woodiness. Not a lot of fruit in general, but certainly some booziness if you get your nose in the glass for too long.
The flavor is sweet, not quite dessert wine sweet, but getting close to that, but in no way does this sweetness render the finished product cloying or unpleasant. Some spicy alcohol and faint citrus rind are taken note of mid palate, the fruit again (like the aroma) is not particularly forward or noticeable, although I will say that I may have never had a Chokeberry in my life, so I wouldn’t be the best at distinguishing the flavor. The mead is lightly fruity, which I suppose is more likely than not attributed to the fruit juice added. The herbal character is mild up front but more intense in the finish & the woody "barrel" character is pretty well as pronounced here as the similar character in that Czworniak Korzenny for which had the woody character I was so impressed with, I assume all these are fermented or aged in wood.... if not something is tasting awfully woody, seeing as how limited my experience with mead is, I could just be outright wrong. The only trouble I’m having is a light soapy/astringent character mid palate that distracts a bit from the otherwise masterfully crafted flavor of this Mead.
The mouthfeel is viscous, not unlike a wine... perhaps a bit less so than many wines.... but the mead coats the tongue nicely which gives a wonderful lingering sensation.
That’s it, I’m buying every Polish mead I see.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Golden-bronze colour. The aroma shows a little heat and some woody accents. Sweet, with a relatively full palate for mead in general, but only medium for Polish mead. The finish is sweet, albeit light and with a fairly bland clover honey character. This mead actually showed more complexity over the course of the glass, something the opposite of what I had expected.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour from bottle at Sarmacja, Krakow. Golden amber. Strong, sweet, and a little grassy throughout. Thin and astringent in the finish. Least impressive of the session, and yet still pleasant.
