Bottle, 13%. The aroma is vinous and citric at first, but quickly becomes sweet with a distinct honey note. There is also a whiff of beeswax. The colour is dark golden. It has a good, sweet honey flavour. The mouthfeel is thin, obviously, compared to the stronger types of good Polish mead, but the mead is flavourful and good.

Bottled. A dark amber mead. The aroma has notes of alcohol, spices, and honey. The flavor is sweet with notes of herbs, honey, and spices, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. Thanks fiulijn for sharing.

Bottle 750ml. @ [ Tasting by fiulijn ].

Clear medium yellow orange colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy honey, spicy, wood notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light light acidic with a long duration, raisin, honey, alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily - syrupy, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. Corked bottle, purchased July 2009 in Warsaw, but with tax label 2007; batch 766/2
Measured Final Gravity: 1041

Beautiful color, golden to light amber. Honey aroma, with a light earthy character; sweet. Quite sweet mouthfeel without being syrupy or cloying; good honey flavor with a perfect balance of acidity; it has a mild fruity touch; the final is just a bit drier and astringent.
Although not exceptional, it’s very well brewed as usual by Apis.

Bottle brown, 750 ml
Appearance: Pours beautiful shiny amber body colour, perfectly clear texture, viscosity is low o medium, quite regular for 1/3 proportion of honey to water, initially rather watery than oily.
Aroma: Kind of strange benzine like alcohol character reminding me of some poorer Meads of american origin, however the fruity side is still nice, spicy notes, especially ginger oriented, some sourness suggesting dry texture, raisin, some leavy notes, old spice, orange peal, not bad despite its initial drawbacks.
Flavour: Rather not very elaborated, made to serve as a winter warmer, so in fact to be mixed with tea or other drink, warming, kind if spicy character, again old spice, some sourness and pure honey sweetness and taste, sweet and quite sticky on palate, finish duration is medium. Not that elaborated as other Meads of Apis.
Palate: Body is medium, texture is sticky, finish feel is sweet, moderately alcoholic with pleasant alcoholic warmth, spicy oriented, slightly lemony and sour with notes of raisin.
