Copper nose, with a little honey. Clear copper, medium yellow head, minimal lacing. Less metallic on the palate, dark honey and dried leaves are detected. A tad fizzy, especially for the style.

32oz growler I picked up from Lost Rhino when they did their Apocalypse Ale tap takeover. Pours a hazy, light brown with some thin, white head. Nose is malty, some orange peel, some diacetyl, cracker. Flavor is the same, a little boozy actually, lemon rind, pear, malt. Wet finish. A touch messy.

Aromas of caramel, berries, and earthy hops. Clear red-amber with a mostly fading off-white head. Dry, malts are well balanced with a tight bitterness. Light-medium bodied, well carbonated, very smooth, and finishes clean.

Draft at the Brewery This was one of the best ESB I have had. Most are very tame. This was a delight upon pouriing a clear amber color with a white head and lacing. Wes our bartender said they want to dial back the IBUs. This recipe is just right. The medium body bitter had average carbonation. The aroma of caramel and resin greet you. The warm bitterness is evident from the first sip. I hope their beers will coming to Richmond.
