2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
There appears to be some very shady attempted ratings of this beer, and I’m going to point the finger at the brewery or associates thereof. Two users gave it marks of 4.9 and 4.7; the giver of the 4.9 has rated ONLY this beer, and the giver of the 4.7 rated ONLY this and two other beers from the same brewery, and rated those a 4.8 and a 5 respectively. I’m not going to spout some crap about ’the integrity of ratebeer’ or something similar, because no one should take craft beer too seriously. However, such a blatant attempt to skew ratings should be snickered at, and smacks of an unbecoming desperation. On to the rating... Appearance: mostly clear, a deep gold with a short, fizzy, fading white head. Aroma: honeyed cracker grains, a bit of citrus and a hint of spice. Taste: as the aroma indicates, with a slight herbal and marmalade character. Finish: short, slightly watery, with a little musty honey lingering. Notes: Like a well-done beginner’s homebrew. Flavors were slightly muddled and musty, palate was light but on the watery side as opposed to bright and refreshing. 12 oz can featuring some cool artwork, from Total Wine in Fairfax, Virginia (Pickett Center).

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft @ BW3 Lynchburg: Mild lemongrass aroma. Hazy amber, medium head. Dandelion and grass flavor, finishing with a kiss of light malt. Flavorful, but perhaps a bit too bitter for the style, but I enjoyed it that way.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled at the brewery. Poured a soft gold color, medium head, moderate lacing. Aromas of orange and honey. Tastes are a clean wheat malt flavor along with hints of orange and honey as in the aroma. Refreshing.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft at Brewery This was this first beer tasted. There was little or no head. The color a clear light gold and very attractive. The aroma was of citrus and bread. The wheat ale was easy to drink and not very dramatic. The honey helps to mellow out the ale. The medium body had soft carbonation. This is very drinkable beer for the hot days of summer.
