Aroma explodes with citrus hops and does not stop!Hops in the beginning, middle and end. Hopped as much as a double IPA but perfectly balanced with Munich malt to give both hopheads and malt lovers the best of both worlds. Say no to the bland beer of the past and welcome the future of flavor!

Draft at the brewery, served in a plastic cup. Sweeter than hoppy, but quite enjoyable. I had a pretty hard time distinguishing between the Glorious Dead ESB and Hoppacolypse ... the Dead is perhaps a shade redder than the oranger DIPA, but the flavor and characteristics are pretty subtle. Also had the Hoppacolypse with Grapefruit, which added a nice snap. (#6225/6, 7/13/2016)

Total Wine, McLean can: pours amber with an off white head. Aroma is toasted malts, citrus. Taste is much the same. Really malty with just enough bitterness to make it a little hard to drink. Not my style at all. Bitter and full.

Draft in Tyson’s. Pours clear bright amber with a fizzy off white head. Tastes like toasted malt, grapefruit hops, pine, and caramel. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like toasted malt, grapefruit, pine hops, and caramel.

Can. Pours a slightly hazy dark Amber body with a one finger foamy beige head that had decent retention. The nose is somewhat sweet, with caramel and fruity fig-like notes. Some fairly heavy citrusy hops there as well, but it doesn’t really have a whole lot of aroma hops. The flavor is intensely bitter up front, and fades to intensely sweet on the back end. There’s a whole lot of malt going on in here, and I tend not to prefer that in an IIPA. This is just too sweet for my tastes, despite what must have been a heavy handed hop bill, because the bitterness is fairly high up front. Full bodied, clingy, sticky, very heavy on the mouthfeel. Fizzy carbonation. I’d not purchase this one again.

Pour from can. Clear copper with tan head. Light citrus and yeast forward aroma. Flavor is intense. Yeast and bitterness, followed by juicy flavors of pear, grapefruit, and peach. Bitter grapefruit finish. Good for hophead looking for something a little different.

Can share @ The Stein & Vine, Brandon. Thanks Ty!

Poured from a 12 oz. can into a pint glass. Aroma- Has a big fruit smell, very inviting. Appearance- This beer has a copper to reddish-gold color. Pours a large off-white head. Taste- Has a great flavor. Full of fruit and hops, this really masks the 8% ABV. Palate- A medium to heavy beer with moderate carbonation. Goes down real smooth. Overall- This beer is a knockout. Apocalypse has crafted a very good beer with some exceptional artwork on the can that will leave a memorable experience. Must try
