Light on the aroma of roasted malt and sweetness. Very light on the mouthfeel and watery. Nice balance of roasted flavor and an aftertaste of bitter chocolate. Not among my favorites.

Aromas of dark chocolate, subtle roast, some raisin. Black with a fairly lasting off-white head. Mostly dry, some dried raisiny flavors as it finishes. Full bodied, toasted, pretty smooth.

On draft at Spacebar. Pours a clear cola brown with a tan head. Chocolate aroma. Flavors of coffee, cocoa and orange. Medium to heavy bodied, smooth silky mouthfeel, slight bitter finish.

Apocalypse 6th Seal Chocolate Stout. Serving: Draft at MacDowell Brew Kitchen. It pours a very dark brown with a brown head. Lots of roasted malt and chocolate in the nose. Velvety smooth on the tongue with a touch of sweetness and lots of roasted malt. Slight nuttiness on the back end. I’m not sure what some of you are drinking. This is a solid stout.

DiarmaidBHK (3393) - Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 1, 2013
Draft at Fireworks Leesburg. Pours coca cola brown with a thin khaki head. Big chocolate on the nose. The chocolate tastes a bit burned on the tongue. There’s definitely some lactose but it fades quickly. Finishes clean but thin on the tongue. Eh!

Draft: Walnut and roasted malt nose. Black pour, headless. Sweet walnut, barely perceptible chocolate. Soft carbonation. A bit cloying. This brewery’s offerings run a bit sweet for my taste, but they’ve got chops.

Poured as a sampler at the brewery. Chocolate and coffee on nose, malty sweet with coffee and some choc, hints of orange, creamy taste surprisingly short finish compared to other stouts.

Draft at the brewery This stout poured a deep black with tan head. There was some chocolate, coffee and roasted malt on the nose. Another patron said this was the best of the brewery. It was excellent with a nice medium body and soft carbonation. The chocolate malt flavor and toffee were delicious. The taste does have a richness that is very special. The finish was smooth with rich chocolate at the end.
