Aroma: Rye bread with a dash of caramel; hops are moderately citrusy. Appearance: Light copper pour with a film of white head. Flavor: Matches the nose, but has a bit more tropical fruit, especially toward the finish; comes off a bit lighter in the hop department than Id like. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, flat carbonation, lightly bitter finish. Overall: A nice beer, but could use some amping up to compete with the big boys.

Draft at APW pub. Poured a clear dark copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate complex hop and earthy rye aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

On tap at the brewery in Louisville, KY. Pours a hazed, golden-orange colored body with a finger-width, frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a solid lacing. Aroma is lighter with some bready pale malts, a touch of rye spice, some florals, and a hint of caramel. Flavor is a little better. Florals, a light rye spice, and some orange up front with a bready caramel malt backing. Finishes dry with a light bitterness, some rye, citrus, and a moderate sweetness. Fairly lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a decent rye IPA. Not thin, but a lighter flavor profile. A bit of a sweetness, some florals, oranges, and rye spice. Eh.
