Bottled. A hazy light golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of straw, while the flavor is sweet with notes of malt and straw, leading to a bitter finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and pale yellow with a white head. Mild fruity and crisp bitterhops aroma. Flavour is mild sweet and light citrus fruity at first. Goes into a classic dry bitterhops and almost grassy flavour. Finish is crisp and bitter, light and refreshing.

UPDATED: JUN 26, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Most German beers have a problem with their best before date, they tend to haze way too early. This Glocken Pils ("Bell Pils") is a prime example. It’s so hazy, that it almost looks like a "Zwickel" - an unfiltered Pils - which I don’t believe it’s supposed to. Nothing wrong with the flavour though: hoppy and aromatic. 160105

Bottle, 4.8%. Sightly rough, citric aroma. Clear yellow colour. Big and nice, stable and creamy white head. The flavour is a bit citric in an OK way. Quite clean flavour. Late bitterness, which is OK, too.

Bottle at a Papsø tasting 09-Feb-2009 - Thanks to one of the guys. Cloudy yellow - white head. White bread - lots of egg & white bread, fruity, crispy, sweetness. Classic but thin & boring.

harrisoni (10909) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - APR 8, 2011
500ml bottle from a colleague at work. Clear very pale gold, thin white head,. Some lemon hop on the aroma. Quite light in the mouth and then decent lemony hop on the finish. Yes, it’s quite a light pils, but you know what? I could drink a lot of this in one night. No off or bad flavours. Just a touch of newspaper, but it’s a light lemony lager which I rather liked. A shed load better than similar beers in the UK. I even got some hop sting on the finish.

yngwie (10758) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 12, 2007
Bottle. (from Trade with MiP) Clear, pale gody with a small, white head. Malty, slightly grainy nose with a little citrusy hoppiness. The flavor has a strange, artificial-like citrus-note as well as pale malt and a delicate bitterness. Medium to thin body, and a nice bitterness and fruityness to finish it. Quite nice pilsener from former DDR. (070712)

Cloudy golden with a tiny white head. Aroma was sweet and malty with caramel notes. Flavour had floral hops, caramel and malty notes. Finished mild bitter.
