From tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brownwith a creamy dense off-white head. Aroma is light hoppy fruity with a roasted malt note. Light milky infection flavoured, roasted caramel and breadish malt. Light citric finish. Off, yet not terribly bad.

Tap @ Apollo, Cph. 5,1%. Pours almost black with a medium soapy beige-yellow head that settles as a 1mm thich creamy topping. Aroma is lightly sour with some caramel and berries. Flavour is dry, but not from hops - rather from roasted malts. But the background is very acidicly sour - no real bitterness anywhere around this brew. Something must have gone wrong!

Tap, at the brewpub May 2005. Jet black, moderate pale beige head and gentle condition. Low roasted barley notes in the nose, gentle sweet creaminess in the mouth with some hints of burnt toast that becomes vaguely phenolic and maybe even infected. Lingering dry bitter finish with some background wortiness.

Draught
Dark brown color; big creamy head. With the roasted malts there is also a nice aromatic hopping, more in the nose than in the flavor. The mouthfeel is quite malty, medium dry, with a lot of roasted malt, correctly bitter.

(On tap) Very dark, hazy and almost opaque. Small, off-white head. Weak aroma of roasted malt. Very light body - actually a bit watery. Some roasted malt in the flavour and actually quite a decent bitterness. 280605

Draft. Extremely dark (and bitter) beer. Well, the name is definitely well chosen. It’s a nice beer. Roasted malts and hops. But even though it kinda looks like a stout, don’t think of that while drinking it, because it’s definitely thinner and lighter.

Malt and coffee in the aroma. Looks just like a stout with a great head. Flavor is.. big! Wellrounded, bitter and dry. Might be lacking some body. Also lacks a bit more on the palate. But definitely a great beer brewed by.. my uncle! Good job!

Jet black, brown lacing creamy head. Neutral aroma. Light carbonized roastyness, berries, honeyish notes. Smooth low-carbonated mouthfeel. Pleasant, but not overwhelming
