Ungstrup (10853), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 2, 2004 A deep red beer with a nice brown head. The aroma is sweet malty. The flavor is also sweet malty with notes of caramel before an OK bitterness sets in. Not very stouty for a stout. Earlier Rating: 1/4/2004 Total Score: 3.3 A black beer with a beutiful chocolate brown head. The aroma is sweet dominated by Apollo yeast. The flavor is sweet and malty with strong notes of caramel and Apollo yeast. It ends on a good bitterness combined with a slight roasted note. A good beer, but it is missing some power to be a real stout in my universe. madsberg (4363), Bangalore, India May 17, 2004 Draught @ DBF2004: Dark brown/red coloured. Decent beige head. Aroma is malty with some vague chocolate and roasty notes. Flavour is a bit watery, and is dominated by malt and fruit notes. Some light bitterness in the end. Jeppe (2634), Ølbutikken, Denmark May 17, 2004 Sampled from draught at Danish Beer Festival 2004 (#5). Brown body with an ok head - way too light for a stout. Mild and sweet roasted malt aroma and flavor. Very thin bodied and more an ale than a stout.
