Ungstrup (11164), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 11, 2003 An unclear orange beer with a fine head. The aroma is fresh, light and hoppy. The flavor is prickly, sweet, and light hoppy - not nearly enough for an IPA - neither American nor Imperial. And the taste vanishes fast. A boring beer compared to my expectation. omhper (10456), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 17, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. Clear amber, small head. Very restrained fruity caramel aroma with only the slightest hint of grapefruit. Sweet and medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. A bit empty and lacking in flavour. Low bitterness. Does not deliver what I expect from an IPA. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 4, 2006 (On tap) Hazy amber golden with a handsome, creamy, beige head leaving some neat laces in my glass. The aroma is surprisingly neutral for an IPA, only a vague whiff of flowers. Rather thin body - almost a watery impression. Loads of sweet, lightly caramelish malt with a markedly bitter hoppiness dominating the finish. Vague floral notes, but the harsh and brutal Apollo bittering hops won this brew solidly over the aroma hops. 020206 yespr (6400), Copenhagen O, Denmark Dec 23, 2007 From tap at the brewpub, 6.4 alcohol %. Pours slight hazy and orange with a dense white head. Dry hoppy, mild floral note, aroma with a solid malt note. Quite heavy carbonated. Flavour is bitter and caramel malty without becoming sweet as such. Solid bitterness in the finish. joergen (6340), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 11, 2005 Draught at the brewpub.
Hazy orange coloured with an off white head.
Sweet flowery and fruity aroma with hoppy notes.
Sweet flavour of malts, fruits and bubble gum with a hoppy finish.
