On tap.
Sweet of caramel and toffee. Hint of roasted malts. The chestnut serves some dryness Ungstrup (10776), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 19, 2007 Draft. An unclear amber-brown beer with with a thin orange head. The aroma is sweet spicy with notes of chestnuts, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet spicy - especially cloves combined with notes of chestnuts and caramel, leading to a dry woody finish. Too strong chestnut notes in the flavor for my liking, but still as far as I remember the best chestnut beer I’ve had. ChristianScheffel (1960), Odense, Denmark Sep 28, 2007 Unclear amber with a small off-white head. Nutty aroma with some wood and some caramel. Malty flavour with maybe a hint of chestnut. Way too sweet for my taste. fiulijn (5650), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Sep 1, 2007 Draught at the brewpub Nice hazy amber color; creamy head. The aroma has light roasted malt and too much ethanol. The body seems to be not too light, but the flavor is weak; there is very little to tell about it; the chestnuts are nothing more than a shade. We can think that Apollo cares more for the appearance than the substance. Theis (1837), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 22, 2007 Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy brown - white head. Bitterness, nutty, light roasted, notes of rye, light smokey, orange, citrus, ashtray, ashes. It finishes with the famous apollo-taste.... it could have been good, but this finish ruins it !!
