Tap @ Apollo, Cph.
Pours clear golden copper with a nice, creamy, staying, white head. Aroma is sweet, some clear butter notes, malts and caramel. Medium carbonation, a bit thin. Flavour has far too much butter, light malts and only weak hops. Poor.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Papsoe (22946) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 25, 2008
(On tap) Clear golden amber with a dense off-white head. Starts with a whiff of butter that fortunately vanishes quickly though and leaves the scene for a very clean and solid maltiness with notes of caramel. Quite full-bodied with loads of sweet malt and basically no hoppiness. Quite pleasant if you can get used to Apollo’s usual butteryness. 161008

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden orange with a dense white head. Mild butterish and light roasted malty aroma. Butterish and malty flavoured, caramunich I would guess. Slight breadish (with butter). Mild roasted and malty finish. Not bad yet classic Apollo somehow.
