Dark brown with a creamy head.
Some dark butterscotch. Pretty thin.

Medium deep beige head. Opaque black body goes deep dark brown at edges. Roasty sugary toffee aroma with grainy raisiny licorice notes. Fresh and clean. Dry-sweet raisiny licorice taste with roasty notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry minty roasty aftertaste with earthy grainy notes. Nice and clean, but lacks character. (0.25l draft at brewpub.)

On tap at Apollo, Copenhagen on 22 May 2011. Not sure why this is regarded as a special as it seems to appear every year - 5.7% in the 2011 incarnation. Very dark brown with a fluffy beige head. Light roast and biscuit malt aroma. More roasty notes on the palate. Also plenty of powdery chocolate. Tasty and enjoyable.

Draught@Apollo, Copenhagen. Very deep amber colour, small brown head. Aroma is ashes, roast, dark fruits and some malts and mild nuttyness. Flavour is roasted malts, some toasted notes, mild yeast and also some ashes. Pleasantly carbonated.

Tap. Very dark brown with small off-white head. Flavour is light roasted malts, dry, coffee, chocolate, little liquorice, bitter and hops.

Draught at the brewpub. Very dark brown,small creamy head. Coffee aroma. Mid sweet with some caramel and lots of coffee. Medium bodied with clean mouthfeel. Fairly low bitterness. Allright.

Draught at the brewpub. Darm amber beer, beige head. Malty chocolate aroma. Malty roasted flavor with grassy notes.

@ Apollo. Almost black with a beige head. Aroma is weak with malt and roasted malt. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry finish. 260511

10/10 i mörkhet. Chokladigt rökig i doften. Lite besk i smaken men annars inte mycket. Lätt besk eftersmak.

nice clear chestnut colour with a small, creamy beige film head. Aroma is quite weak. Some liqourice, rye bread and light roasted malts. Highish carbonation, fairly light and a bit dry palate. Flavour has plenty of rye bread, light roasted notes and a touch of dark chocolate. Fairly elegant finish with malty bitterness and floral hops. Elegant but also thin and weak.
