COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Draft at the brewpub, Copenhagen. Pours cloudy, orange-gold with a foamy, white head. Wow, has quite a zippy, tangy citrus nose, with ripe orange, light pine and pee. Medium to big sweet flavor with lots of herbal, spicy pine, light caramel and toasty malts, hints of honey, and a good dose of grapefruit. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Mild sticky finish, fairly resinous, with plenty of zesty orange and grapefruit, herbal grass, heavy pine. In fact, the beer is a bit too heavy overall. Although, it also has a very impressive menagerie of nuance. Lasting melon, ripe citrus, light toasty bread, toasty sugars. It’s a ballsy, unapologetic IPA and it could be reined in a little, but it really shows potential.

Palme (3237) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUN 20, 2012
On tap @ the brewpub. This is a cloudy deep-honey colored beer with a heavy lacing medium sized dense white head. It has a fruity and sweet-hoppy almost tropical aroma, peaches, mango and citrus. Quite nice! It’s average carbonated and has a somewhat oily texture. Flavors lot’s of citrus, hoppy, caramel and lot’s of grapefruit juice! A bit metallic in the aftertaste. Really mouthdrying - almost astringent finish. 13.05.2012

Draft. A hazydark golden beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops, flowers, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, hops, flowers, and citrus fruits, but I also seem tonotice a faint butter note, before the bitter finish sets in.

On tap. Pours a cloudy opaque amber with a dense off-white head. The nose is fruity fresh with a little yeast coming through. Medium body, sweetish fruity with a whiff of what mostly appears like Belgian yeast and vitamins. The finish is fairly bitter, and I even pick up a little late Brett, not intended but quite enjoyable. A hoppy Belgian Ale, or a Belgian IPA? 170512
