@ Sct. Clemens. Pitch black with a dark brown head. Absolutely beautiful. Aroma is roasted malt and a bit of smoke. Flavor is rather sweet and light bitter. The finish is sweet and has a lasting roasted bitterness. Could use a bit more body, but certainly the best I’ve ever had from Sct. Clemens. 050211

250ml draught, 7.2% ABV, at Bryggeriet Apollo, Copenhagen. Tiny. Fawn coloured head over a near black body. Aroma of roasted, almost burnt, black malts. Buttery chocolate malts in flavour with coffee and a slight roasted bitterness to the ending. Foamy in the mouth (shared with Eva at the pub where we also sampled their IPA and pilsner, 28.03.2010).
